Clinton vs. Bush in Cooperation with 9-11 Commission

Clinton volunteers 4 hours of his time in front of the full 9-11 commission while the President first refused to speak to the commission, then let Condoleezza speak after public pressure mounted, then agreed to speak for 1 hour with his daddy (I mean VP) Dick Cheney accompanying him. Who's working harder to help the commission members do their job?

Yahoo! News - Clinton Defends Counterterror Policies: "Clinton met for nearly four hours with the 10-member bipartisan panel in a closed-door session shortly after the conclusion of national security adviser Condoleezza Rice's public testimony, broadcast live on national television. "

CBS News | EPA's Mercury Lingo Altered | April 7, 2004 11:41:43

The person rewriting the statmetn on the risks from mercury must be suffering from mercury poisoning.

CBS News | EPA's Mercury Lingo Altered | April 7, 200411:41:43: "According to The Times, one section first read: 'Recent published studies have shown an association between methylmercury exposure and an increased risk of heart attacks and coronary disease in adult men.'

It ended up reading: 'it has been hypothesized that there is an association between methylmercury exposure and an increased risk of coronary disease; however this warrants further study as the new studies currently available present conflicting results.' "

Another Republican admitting George W. Bush is unfit to be president:

MSNBC - 'The Wizard of Oz Letter': "A top Republican strategist dubbed the legal document striking the unusual deal "the Wizard of Oz letter" because it strips away the myth that Bush is in charge. Until now, it's been all speculation about Vice President Cheney's influence. With the revelation of the tandem testimony, nobody with a straight face can deny Cheney is a co-president or worse, the puppeteer who pulls Bush's strings."

Can anyone come up with a good reason why Sibel Edmonds would be lying about this? She isn't pushinig a book. She's also taking her story to a UK newspaper, which everyone knows could be in Bangkok to your average American, and the government is trying to shut her up. That adds up to a credible source in my book.

'I Saw Papers That Show US Knew al-Qa'ida Would Attack Cities With Airplanes': "Sibel Edmonds said she spent more than three hours in a closed session with the commission's investigators providing information that was circulating within the FBI in the spring and summer of 2001 suggesting that an attack using aircraft was just months away and the terrorists were in place. The Bush administration, meanwhile, has sought to silence her and has obtained a gagging order from a court by citing the rarely used 'state secrets privilege'. "

President George W "Bring Respect Back to the White House" Bush is doing a fine job suppressing valuable 9-11 evidence that could help us figure out how this happened, thus allowing us to prevent something like this happening again. Wouldn't that be a great way to show respect for the families of the 9-11 victims, Mr. President?

Don't forget to express your opinions on the GOP's attempts to limit free speech in this country. Here's an example letter for you to use:

Dear FEC Commissioners,

I am very concerned about the Republican Party's attempt to limit free speech in this country by fighting against 527 groups. Why is parity is campaign funding so scary for people on the Right?

To suggest that 527 programs are illegal is laughable. The groups running these programs know what they're doing, and know the consequences of breaking the law.

Limiting free speech is never in the best interest of the American electorate. People have a right to spend their own money to broadcast their message.

It's clearly better to have money donated to organizations like 527 programs than directly to campaigns because it prevents the quid pro quo ethical issues that have been running rampant in the current administration.

Here's one of Minnesota's top bigots:

Tom Prichard - President, Minnesota Family Council / Minnesota Family Institute

This guy thinks the best way to defend marriage is to keep people from getting married. What a strange concept.

Mr. Prichard quotes James Wilson on his web site: "As James Wilson, signer of both the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution, said, 'The family is the principal of the community...As its establishment is the source, so its happiness is the end, of every institution of government which is wise and good.'"

That sure sounds like a great justification for extending the basic civil right or marriage to all adults in this state and country.

To see Michelle Bachman deliver her nutcase justification for discriminating against her fellow Minnesotans, check out the URL below:
http://www.mnvoter.com/rally/video.htm

The hypocrisy in her argument is almost overwhelming. For example, she thinks "The Family" is a key to a great Minnesota, yet she wants to ban same sex couples who have adopted and are raising children from becoming a legally recognized family through marriage. If she was really interested in supporting families, she would support same sex marriage and ban divorce?
